Message from Superintendent: Levy Renewal Election Update

Dear #OneOakHarbor Community,

I am excited to share that, as of election night, our levy renewal appears to be passing with more than 60% approval! While we await final certification, this marks what could be the highest approval rating for a school levy in nearly two decades for Oak Harbor Public Schools!

These results highlight the strength and commitment of our #OneOakHarbor community. With this levy renewal, our community showed their commitment to providing the following essential services and programs in our schools:

School nurses, mental health counselors, and school safety enhancements
Special education, paraeducators, academic counselors, and smaller class sizes
Student programs like athletics, intramurals, and visual & performing arts
Classroom technology, Chromebooks, and curriculum software

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who voted, volunteered, and spread the word about the critical importance of this levy renewal. Your unwavering support has truly energized our community. I am deeply grateful to the community organizations who welcomed us, allowing us to share our vision and answer questions. Your partnership reminds us that together, we can accomplish extraordinary things and is proof of what we can achieve when we share a common focus.

With this momentum, I’m excited to build on our strategic plan and continue championing our students, staff, and the vibrant #OneOakHarbor community. I’m honored to be part of this journey—let’s keep moving forward together!
