Dear Explorer Families,
As we wrap up a fantastic school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate all the joy, growth, and memories we've shared at Broad View Elementary!

From Field Day fun and talent shows to our enriching classroom activities, assemblies, and community events, this year was full of learning and laughter. We are so proud of our students for their hard work and resilience, and we are deeply grateful for the continued partnership of our families, volunteers, PTA, and staff.

Year in Review Highlights:
  • Raised over $11,000 during our Color Run fundraiser—thank you families and PTA!
  • Enjoyed performances, field trips, and hands-on learning thanks to your support.
  • Celebrated student creativity at our annual Art Walk and Talent Show.
  • Wrapped up the year with the always-popular Field Day—what a blast!

Summer Reminders:
  • Keep Reading! Sno-Isle Library has a great summer reading program—check it out here!
  • Practice Math & Writing: Even 10–15 minutes a day can help prevent the “summer slide.”
  • Get Outside & Explore! Summer is a great time for outdoor learning and play.

Stay Connected:
We’ll continue to send updates via email and post reminders on our website and Facebook page. Be sure to check in mid-August for teacher assignments and school supply lists.

Thank You for an Amazing Year!
We wish all our Explorer families a safe, sunny, and joyful summer break. Whether you're traveling or staying local, we hope you find time to relax and make new memories together.

See you in the fall!
Warmly,
Jennifer Hunt

Family Fitness Tip

Interested in getting out for some fresh air and exploration? We highly recommend Monroe Landing Beach. This gently sloping sand and cobble beach offers great seashell hunting and shallow, calm water for wading. This beach is on the north side of Penn Cove, and you can see the town of Coupeville directly across the water. To get there, you simply turn off Highway 20, go down Monroe Landing Rd (where The Blue Fox Drive-in is located) towards the water. At the bottom of the hill the parking lot is directly in front of you, no parking pass needed.
Have a great summer, Explorers!
